What’s the difference between an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and an original equipment equivalent (OEE)?
An OE part comes from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), which is a company that makes spare parts, primarily for automobile manufacturers. The automobile manufacturer’s logo (Toyota, Mazda, Mercedes, etc.) appears on OE parts.
OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) parts do not carry the automaker’s logo, but the quality of the parts is similar or identical to OE parts.
