Advanced driver-assistance systems are often linked to cameras affixed to the windshield of the vehicle. These cameras capture data related to the traffic and road environment. A camera that has not been recalibrated following a windshield replacement may perform poorly.
At Lebeau Vitres d’autos®, our experts are trained in the latest technology and use patented tools. When we replace a windshield that incorporates a driver-assistance system, we recalibrate the camera and adjust it on the new windshield.1 We do not disconnect the camera from its power supply when replacing the windshield.

In recent years, technological progress in the automotive industry has greatly improved the enjoyment, safety and comfort of driving, with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) propelling the production of smart vehicles. These systems are already incorporated into many vehicle makes and models and will become even more common in the immediate future.
Advanced driver assistance-systems include lane keeping, danger detection, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking and safety warnings (sounds or vibrations).
